Record Turnout at Summer Program

Between Thursday, August 21 and Sunday, August 24, Urban Debate League welcomed sixty high school students from all over Connecticut to the Yale Summer Debate Program, an intensive four day debate clinic. Students practiced skills, argued motions, and discussed elective curricula in subjects ranging from social justice to economics. The debaters receive coaching from Yale students, the majority of whom compete with the Yale Debate Association. We are excited to report that student turnout represented an impressive threefold increase from last year’s numbers, and are already making plans for next year. Don’t miss it!
